Koh Kret 2012

 １２月１０日、一日間の休暇があったのでバンコックの近い観光地に行った。チャオプラヤー川は蛇みたいなクルクルだから川の岬を通して運河を作られた。そしてこの川は岬を貫いて「コウ　クレット」という人工島になった。
この島は市内から２０分しかかからない。緑や自然いっぱい、大都市の近いのに田舎の気持ちだ。食べ物はこの島の名物だから僕たちは歩きながらいろいろな手焼き甘えものを食べてみた。お寺も奇麗だった！バンコックは本当に神秘的なところがいっぱいある。

For my day long holiday on the 10th we took a trip to Koh Kret island. Its a famous tourist destination and although its only 20 kilometers from the city center its not plagued by crowds. The island is the result of a dredged headland, a major project to create a shorter passage through the windy river. The new island has maintained it's small town charm and offers the visitor a country side atmosphere with scenic walks and five star desserts. 

Protest and Cambodia VISA run.

Today I briefly crossed into Cambodia to extend my VISA. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Also here are some pictures from last weeks demonstration.

December 1st

After a nice long work out in the park Polly and I went to the store to buy some badminton rackets. On the way we noticed that because of the mass protests the streets were eerily deprived of cars. It was a surreal sight.

Even though there are anti-government protests going on everybody is still going about their daily business and the food, is delicious as usual!

今日１２月の一日、ポリと僕はうちの公園で散歩した。市内ではちょっとウキウキじゃないデモが起こっている。実はバンコックの治安は荒くなった。昨日政府に反対する人と警察と政府を応援する人は叩いて、二人が射殺されてしまった。

ところが、タイ料理はいつもうまい！
